Artist Sofie Dieu in partnership with Kingston Arts, the City of Kingston and the Victorian Immigrant and Refugee Women Coalition would like to invite you to the​ launch of “Longing for Home, Stories of First Generation Australian Women”.

This project is a collaboration between the artist and migrant women living in the suburbs of Melbourne. Together, they teased what 'home' means when living away from one's country of birth and family​. They narrated their story though embroidery to form a collective textile artwork. Their personal narratives are also revealed in a short movie and in a book that will be launched on Friday the 20th at 10am.​
