Flower crowns have found their way in my art practice in 2018. They are used to mark all the important moments in life, family reunions over Christmas, weddings, or to celebrate those who have departed. Children make flower crowns off daisies. For Summer Song, I draw from a childhood memory, learning how to make such crowns with my friend. Though this time, instead of daisies, I have used native Australian flora.
