About the event
CONTENT
This workshop series will encourage you to explore your own unique relationship with mix media including charcoal, ink, collage and natural dyes. You will learn how to create your own natural dyes from fresh fruits, vegetables, soil, herbs... There will be some cooking involved!
These media will be combined to paint Australian native ferns and plants from the Daintree forest. After learning a series of techniques, you will create your own art with the support of the artist Sofie.
WHO IS IT FOR
This workshop is for you if
- You are experimental, intuitive and desire to step outside of yourself and find new creative paths
- You want to build your mix media techniques and natural colour skills
- You are an experienced or an amateur artist willing to expand your own practice
- You are creatively independent and want to move beyond the fundamentals of colour theory
The workshop is not intended to teach you colour theory or mix media the traditional way. It is not about showing you how to replicate another artist's artworks or to produce hyper realistic paintings.
